HCPT Group 507

Serving ex service personnel nationwide

Region: Armed Forces

Summer Group

Group 507 is a national Group within the Armed Forces Region taking Wounded, Injured and Sick service Veterans for an 8-night stay at Hosanna House for the Group's Annual Pilgrimage to Lourdes.

The Group travels in May and alongside the uniqueness of having no regional base it is also unique as the only HCPT Group that joins in the International Military Pilgrimage (IMP) weekend. This is a weekend of spectacular military colour and music as 20,000 service personnel from 20 plus nations, parade in their uniforms with their national flags and bands playing as they gather in a Pilgrimage of Prayer and Peace. (International Military Pilgrimage – Le Pèlerinage Militaire International)

At the conclusion of the IMP the Group continues with its own programme including elements relevant to military personnel, serving and veterans alike.

The Group is friendly and welcome sharing in the camaraderie of military service. It encourages personnel from the military community, serving and retired, to join in the Pilgrimage as a Helper to offer assistance and support to the disabled Veterans.

Whether you are a Veteran with a disability or a Helper joining the Group it will, we hope, be an enriching Pilgrimage for you whilst also having an enjoyable time in the company of kindred spirits.
