All volunteers (leaders, helpers, chaplains, musicians etc) are required to have a criminal records check (a qualifying certificate) to join an HCPT pilgrimage.

If you need to apply for a DBS, your Group Leader will send you an invitation email. To use this you will need to provide the following information:
- Your name, address, date of birth and contact details
- 5 years address history
- ID information – passport, driving licence, utility bill etc
You will still need to meet with a nominated volunteer (probably your Group Leader) to check your ID, or you will be able to have your ID checked at a Post Office (for this a £5 fee will apply) – whichever is most convenient for you.
