John Hill 1956 - 2010

HCPT is sad to hear of the death this morning of Rev. John Hill, leader of HCPT Group 186.
 
John was awarded an MBE in last Saturday's Queen's Birthday Honours List, informed personally in a call by the Naval Secretary a few days before, and was immensely proud of this.
 
John had been treasurer of the HCPT Armed Forces (previously Royal Navy) Region for many years, taking on the leadership of Group 186 for the Easter 2010 Pilgrimage. As an ordained Anglican Vicar he held a unique and special place in the organisation of HCPT, he will be missed by many.
 
Our thoughts are with his wife Caroline and young son Sebastian.
