About Group 184

Group184 is based in Tottenham, and takes up to ten children from Tottenham and North London to Lourdes each year. We take children with a variety of needs; physical disabilities, medical conditions, learning difficulties and special social needs. We take children of any religious denomination.

During the week we have day trips to the seaside and the mountains as well as a fancy dress party and lots of trips to the local cafes. The whole week is focused on the children having the holiday of a lifetime. For some children it is their first holiday and they make loads of new friends and have great fun. For the children’s families the week provides valuable respite for them while they know their child is enjoying a holiday.

All the helpers pay their own fares, but the children’s fares are paid for by fundraising done by the group. Each year we take approximately ten children for a very special holiday with Our Lady. Each child's fare costs £740.
