Expand your horizons with Youth Development Programme (YDP) 2016

The YDP has been designed to assist young HCPT members to build upon the skills and competencies required to lead a HCPT group.

danielYDP graduate Daniel (right), speaking about about his experience of the programme in 2015:

“I really enjoyed my time with a group at Hosanna House as part of the Youth Development Programme. I had more responsibilities than when I was a helper and it made me realise all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. I met all of my objectives and would definitely be interested in leading a group in the future.”

Who can apply?

Anyone who has previously travelled on an HCPT pilgrimage who is between the ages of 18 and 25.

What does it involve?

You will be allocated to a Summer group on their pilgrimage to Hosanna House and given extra responsibilities than that of a Helper.  With the Group Leader and your Regional Chair, you will decide which tasks will benefit you. Objectives will be set to ensure you’re able to develop on your current skills with the aim of becoming a leader in the future.

Why should you apply?

  • Your fare can be subsidised by your HCPT Region by up to £400!
  • Travelling in a Summer group with vulnerable adults is a completely different experience to that of the Easter pilgrimage, but one which is equally as rewarding.
