Prospective Helper Application CRB Information

The Prospective Application Form can be downloaded and should be completed and returned to the HCPT office, accompanied by a deposit of £100. Please return your application before 9th December 2011 as applications received after this date cannot be considered for Easter 2012 pilgrimage.

HCPT ask that all Prospective Helpers provide the contact details of two referees who can be contacted by HCPT prior to your application being forwarded to groups in your region. One of these referees must be able to give a reference based on your experience of working with children. Neither of these may be a relative, member of HCPT staff or a Trustee of HCPT. Your application will only be forwarded to groups once HCPT are in receipt of two satisfactory references.

You will also be required to obtain a CRB enhanced disclosure application form. Details of how to apply for a CRB application form can be found on the instruction document. Failure to obtain a satisfactory CRB disclosure will mean your prospective application cannot be processed. These procedures are for the protection of you and the children that would be under your care if you were accepted into a group.

The Helpers fare for 2012 has not been finalised; however as a guide, the fare for Easter 2011 was £681 for seven nights’ accommodation and flights.

All Prospective Applicants

The Prospective Application Forms are initial enquiry forms to enable HCPT to understand your requirements. We will send the application to suitable groups in your local area. You can expect to hear directly from a volunteer Group Leader regarding your prospective application, however we cannot guarantee when this will be. If you have not received a response within 8 weeks of sending your application, please contact a member of the Pilgrimage Department who will follow this up on your behalf. Please note that completion of the Prospective Application Form does not guarantee you a place in a HCPT group. If you are accepted into a group, then a more detailed Form will need to be completed.

The Easter Pilgrimage dates for 2012 are Saturday 7th April – Saturday 14th April and Sunday 8th April – Sunday 15th April, depending on which group you may travel with.
